Thought I would share alittle what I am doing over the off season.
Doesn't look like much as of now as the car is pretty torn apart right now. But as the progress continues I will post more pics of the new setup.
Got the new turbo in last week, GT4202 102mm turbo.
AEM injector driver box for the 1600cc injectors
New Afco drag racing radiator
I converted over to all SS braided radiator hoses with -16 an fittings and all.
Alternator relocation kit, moves alternator to the back of the block for more room up front
Kevlar timing belt
Among other things that I still awaiting on
Sorry for the blury pics, my cam is dying on me.
Pictures just do not do this turbo justice, the damn thing weighs in at 43lbs, heavy SOB.

This is the gt42 against my t4 t67 turbo that I ran this past season into the 9's

Looks Amazing dude! aiming for 8s? ha

That is the goal, street driven as well;) More realisticly it will be low 9's but by the end of the season I hope to break into the high 8's. Time will only tell. I finnaly get to use the direct port for the entire pass instead of using it for spool up purposes like I have been this past season.

43lbs....thats a big freaking turbo. Take a picture of it next to a 14B, that should really show how big it is. Good luck next season!

You mean like this. I took some pics when ours got here.

Craziness, I just want to port my little 16g and do some fuel mods and tuning.

 Its just so beautiful:cry:
Thats kick ass. That would be awesome to have an 8 sec. street car. :thumb: :rocks:

Awsome man! Cant wait to see it run again.

What are you using to do the alternator relocate? I was looking at the JMFab but it isn't in production yet. Did you make your own bracket?

Jake, she looks awesome, and should be one hell of a performer. Best of luck to you in reaching your goals next year.

Good luck, that turbo should make for a fast car!

Quick question though, why such a big 42r variant. Doesnt shep only run a 74mm turbo and he trapped 188 without nitrous? Just wondering if you are really planning on getting the record and just not telling us.;) :thumb:

Sheps turbo is has the same wheel as this one. 102mm exducer and 74mm inducer, When shep talks about 74mm he is talking about the inducer.

There are only 2 gt42's out there, the gt4294=94mm exducer and the gt4202= 102mm exducer, well then the "R" versions witch is just the BB option.

And this will be going on my 2.0L with 120shot direct port nitrous setup.

I got the kit from Pina Motorsports.

2.0l is the way to go for those turbos. Gotta love the redline. Good luck this coming season.

Just shooting for low 9's maybe 8.90's

Bill Lowe runs this same turbo, his best was a 8.95 @167mph. I don't think I will come even close to what shep has been able to do LOL. This turbo seems to be the choice of turbos with alot of people lately.

Thats just regodamndiculous...there are no other words for it
