Hey folks,

I just got back from World Cup finals Import v. Domestic at Maryland International Raceway and we had the priviledge of seeing John run a 7.70 at 191, his best time yet. He had problems after his third run so i am not sure if he got to run again but OMG it was amazing seeing him hit that kind of time.

It was good to talk to him again too. One of the nicest guys in the game.

Keep up the great work John! :rocks:

OMG you guys should have seen it. I had just finished my run and was on the fence helping some of my customers and i saw shep staging. I saw him FLY out of the hole and FLY through the trap. We all went insane when we saw the time and i felt like i was 15 and seeing boobs for the first time again. I went nuts!

I was just informed that John had issues on his fourth run too but if that wouldn't have happened he would have won the whole thing. he still set the record for the day.

I have a better vid then that and ill try to get it up as soon as possible. I was having issues with my dvd-r last night, but will continue to work the issue tonight. Hope to have it up very soon.

The 7.70 pass was amazing to see in person, especially next to a 7 sec turbo mustang. Shep did make a 4th pass, but from the looks of things the motor expired. All you saw just shortly after the 1/8th mile was a big cloud of smoke, sparks from underneath the car and pieces sliding down the track......

That is so insane. That car sounds incredible too. I hope the car has more in it. I am currious to see how far he can go on that turbo.
I bet if he could keep it from getting so squirelly he would at least give himself a tenth (although I can't really tell how bad it was on that run). But what do I know about 7 second dsms haha.

Thanks Martin, was nice to run into you, and im really glad to hear you and your new shop are doing well.

Shep is just an awsome guy, with an even better personality, guy is so down to earth its crazy.

Best of luck to Shep and his crew for what ever they have in store for us next year...

i just can't get over how hard he comes out of the hole. I swear he has some invisible sling shot or something.

The other cool thing was that we had a lot of our customers at the track with us that have EVO's and such that had never been to an event like this and to see the complete domination by the 4G63 powered cars was amazing. I mean there was a 2g there running 10's, Rich hit 10's and plenty of EVO's were in 12's and 11's.

Its called a DOG box and a Ford 9inch rear end, thats whats letting him go fast!

Yeah... like many of us mid atlantic DSMers I was there to see it in real time... and after seeing him run several times before here at MIR at previous ShootOuts in ohio is just awesome to see how the car only gets better with time... I wish I had a video of the run, but I can share this lonely picture of him that same night staging againt a mustang, though he only ran a 8.2 here (still crazy fast) its awesome to see that car lauch and fishtail all over the track til' the end...

Pics right before and after the launch...
