I bought the car like that I know about venting to the atmosphere. The guy put the stock injectors and turbo back on when I bought it but the afpr is still on and it has a walbro 255. That is why Im asking if fuel pressure should be the same even with a 255. Also he had a safc-2 hooked up to the car with crappy tune, if I just disconnect it will it go back to stock or do I have to do something to the safc first?

I failed emissions becaus my 95tsi was running rich. It has a walbro 255 stock injectors and a aftermarket afpr. What should my fuel pressure be at with the vac line on and off?
This is what it should be for a stock 2g4g63 but does it make a differance when I have a 255pump?
With vacum line attached:
2G turbo - 33 psi
vacum line removed:
2G turbo - 42 - 45 psi
Oh forgot to mention that when I set it to 43psi with the vac line off and put it back on it stayed around 40-41 instead of 33psi where it should be with is attached. Should I set the fuel pressure with the line connected then?

You cannot just "unplug" the AFC to turn it off. The airflow signal is modified by the AFC and disconnecting it would leave it open because it is hardwired to intercept the signal wire. If you wanted to remove it you would have some wiring work to do near the ECU to return the wires back to stock configuration.

There is a non-removal option that would be much easier than the wiring itself. You can reset the AFC "back to stock" by zeroing out the HI and LOW tables at every NE point. I say 0 becuase you are on stock injectors and that means 0% correction. Double check the base vehicle settings to make sure they are correct also.

Fuel Pressure with the vac line off and capped should be 43 psi. When the line is put back on it will drop. Having the regulator is only helping you, not hurting. It was installed because of the 255lph high flow pump.

When I set everything to 0 can I unplug it then or does it need to stay connected? Also how hard is it to take the safc off the car I heard it was one pink wire to the ecu that gets cut to hook it up is that true?

I turned everything I could to zero but its still running like crap. the fuel pressure will only go down to 36psi with the vac line on and off. I can raise it with the fpr but I cant lower it any more. The car sounds like its running real rich and it smell like gas. Could this be the upstream o2 sensor? The site you gave me to install the safc-2 doesnt have all the colored wires that the one on my car has connected to it. Also is there a easier way to get to the ecu?

Alright it idles fine now. when I drive it a barley give it gas its fine but as soon as you step on it or floor it, it starts poping and wont accelerate at all. I put new spark plugs it but Im wondering if they gave me the wrong ones. Is there any other problems that would cause this because it only does it when you try to accelerated. It wont build boost it just starts popping like crazy and wont speed up.

hey did u figure out the problem cause im have a similar problem:mad:
