Just wanna mention that i drove my car pretty hard last nite..
Woke up this morning, started it up everything was fine. Then right when i pressed the gas, i heard knocking/ ticking. Sounds like i have an aftermarket exhaust.. which i dont.

Anyways, so i pop the hood and could hear very faint ticking by the manifold and turbo area. So i rev it a little and seems like the sounds coming from right whre the TUrbo and manifold connect.

Since i boosted a lot last nite i was wondering if the turbo is shot but it seems to boost perfect. Holds 15psi fine.

But the Spool up time has increased which makes me think its the manifold leaking?

ANy ideas?

Have you checked your oil level? Check for leaks also. I know you said ticking, but are you sure it isn't an exhaust leak?

Yep, sounds like an exhaust leak. Better replace all of your gaskets. You can grab a can of Seafoam and run that through your BOV hose to better see where all your leaks are as well as cleaning out your motor.

Also might want to check your turbo for shaft play, I've heard a failing turbo make slight ticking noises as well.

Mine did the same thing a while back....I Seafoamed the intake, and found a small crack in the exhaust manifold. As Matt said, Seafoam is great about "showing" you exactly where your exhaust leak(s) are coming from. ;)

So +1 for the exhaust leak.

I've had the exact problem several times. It sounds almost like lifter tick but louder. Retorque all manifold to head bolts, one of them is probably loose, or the gasket might not be sealing, or you may have a crack. Does it go away once the car is fully warmed up? If so, that's usually a gasket sealing issue. Either way, just check the tightness of all exhaust bolts, mainly at the mani-head.
