Alright im prettymuch set to buy this 1990 TSi AWD with 130k on it. It runs verynice, has a small oil leak which i dont mind, i can fix that stuff. Only issue with it is it feels like something is really dragging it and not letting it go. If you put ## foot down in first it feels like its dragging a train behind it, but it will eventually rev up. It revvs fine in neutral. Im thinking stuck breaks? Could a Transfer case cause this problem or anything else? Please help me out since im going to buy this very soon!! Thank you in advance

Yeah, check to see if one of the wheels is much hotter than the others after driving it. Probably a frozen caliper. I wouldn't think it would be the tcase though.

I doubt it's the brakes, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

I would say a shot turbo, low compression, and/or boost leak. If your really lucky, it's a combination of the three.
