why no meets on the weekend?

why are all the meets you guys put togather during the week. I dont ever have time to drive 45 min to a hour plus on a week night. No one ever does anyhting on the weekend?

EXACTLY!!! that's what I'm saying. I work full time and go to school full time. I don't have time for all this weeknight stuff. everybody needs to jump on this weekend bandwagon thing.

If you guys want to set something up on a weekend i'm down for it, just as long as its after 9:00pm.

im down for anything on the weekend from firday night till sunday afternoon. What about Hot Import Nights is there a group going or what?

P.S. im hella tired after i get off work and pretty much just play xbox live in the evening till i go to bed during the week. On the weekend though im up for anyhting at anythime. :thumb:

Well, Jason, you young'n's might be able to get away with it, but not me. Ha ha ha. J/K. I just don't even get out of class till almost 10, then I've got to wake up at 6:30 every day, so it's hard to convince myself to lose vegging and sleep time. And nights that I get out early, I usually work on the car, or I'm on here. I say friday and Sat. nights are best... even sat. early evening, just as long as I have time to work on the car during the day.

This weekend that's exactly what I'm doing. Picked up the Big28 from Amber at FP last night. it looks so good. If I don't get plans for friday night, I'll probably be in my driveway getting a jump-start on Sat.

Why doesnt some one set up a meet this weekend night maybe Sat. or even Sun. I know mostly everyone is free on Sundays. I know that is my only day off.

There is a meet being setup this Saturday in Arlington (~35mn), it'll be the "trial" meet just to make sure everything gose smoothly...

This is it! Our first official meet at Tony's Pizza & Pasta. I set up this trial meet with the owner of Tony's, and if everything goes well, we got ourselves a new Saturday night hangout spot.

For the first meet, there will be free Pizza and wings, courtesy of 96TSi, TurboKaren, and myself. So all you have to worry about is the pitchers of beer (or Coca Cola, if you're not of age). Specialty pasta dishes are also available upon request. The food will be served roughly around 9pm, so there is plenty of time to eat before Tony's closes at 11pm.

This meet is open to all DI members and local tuners. And since this is our first meet, I'd really like to have a great turnout. So if you're sitting over in Plano with nothing to do on Saturday night, get your ass over here for some free food! Also, photographs taken from this meet will used to construct a weekly flyer. So if you see 95Talon walking around, snapping pics of your ride, don't hurt him! And if you do, at least make sure it's nothing permanent.

I'll have the far side of the parking lot marked off for us in the beginning, so we don't take up spots for Tony's other paying customers. There are 2 front entrances, both of which are lowered car friendly. Also, we're all adults here, so I don't expect to have a problem with the following...

1) No excessive revving
2) No burnouts, doughnuts, or "drifting"
3) No blaring of loud music

There are exceptions to the above. I'll understand if someone if thinking about buying a certain exhaust and wants to hear a few quick blips of the throttle for sake of feedback. Same thing with wanting to check out someone's sound system. Just nothing intentionally drawn out and annoying guys. I'm also going to be bringing a couple extra trash cans, which I'll spread across the lot. I'd appreciate it if you would help us keep things somewhat clean.

ok for the record.. it was NOT a DSM meet.. i dont know who said it was.. but the only DSM's that showed up were the DSM's that rolled up with me.. im kinda dissappointed that all these ppl said they were gunna be there.. and yet NOONE. showed up.. it was just a retard import meet. there were a few nice cars there. but NO DSM's. all i have to say.. the next time someone posts that there is a DSM meet... MAKE IT A DSM MEET..... thats all i got to say on that matter.

kinda gald i didnt make it then, I was actually headed that way and said the hell with it cause of the rain, didnt feel like driving over an hour in the ran so i just stayed in town and played halo 2 online most of the day.
