Someone here has done this with me. I have forgotten who.

I'm trying to offer some ideas to another car owner on this and need some input on the wheels used to make this work on the DSM.

Any help?

I know that the PowerSlot plus brake upgrade barely fits under the factory 16" wheels. They are 11.7F/11.5R using OEM calipers and relocation brackets. I can't imagine 13" brakes fitting under the 16" rim unless it had extremely low calipers.

We have talked Todd.. about a year ago though.

On 16's? I was able to fit 13's in the 17" talon rim. PBR calipers could work on 16's if an aftermarket rim was used... i think.

Absolutely no way, that would have to be a VERY low clearance caliper if it was. Not necessarily the rotor. I forget which company but they make low-clearance calipers. This would also have to be offset by good clearanced rims.

For example, I have 16x8 wheels, and the 13 inch rotors LITERALLY are half of an inch on either side clearance. There is no way for a caliper to get in there.

Ill update when I find the particular calipers im talking about for that are the low clearance ones.

Don't recall who bu yes it was done. I'm as shocked as you were. It's all about where the drop in the wheels begins and ends.

Let me know if you do find this wheel though. I want a 16-inch but with 13-inch rotors it was gonna look impossible. I got 18s for dailys with cheapo summers or long-lasting all seasons. But I was going to get 17s for track, but if I can get 16s I would be more than happy to run those (much cheaper tires)

Todd -

Any chance they were some multi-piece wheel, like a Real or a Kodiak? Some of their rim-halves are incredibly shallow.

Honestly I don't recall what or how. Just that I was shocked that they cleared.
