name the band, type of music, the name of the CD, and a description

band: O.A.R
genre: ska/rock
CD: 34th and 8th

this band is one of my favorites, its a great band with a saxophone player in most songs, very laid back easy listening, i recommend to anyone to listen to atleast once (any of their CDs are good, but i like this cd cuz it flows so well, its a live cd that was recorded awesome unlike most live ccds)

Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth and
The Second Stage Turbine Blade

HA! beat ya to it :p ..well apparantly they arent that unpopular eh?

this is hard.....i dont know how popular some bands are across the country..... i guess i like Default... cd names are "the fallout" and "elocation".. i also like fuel.."natural selection" and "something like human" are good cd's... i mostly just burn them... but if i like the group..i buy the cd... i guess i listen to all kinds of music...except for some of that ### new music...and of course.....country... i know i live on a farm and do alot of that stuff... but i refuse to get pulled in with everyother farmer out there.. country music changes people man... haha. :thumbdown

cannibal corpse, six feet under, unholy death, obituary, anything that gets my adrenaline going where I start to pace around and throw things

band: Faith No More
genre: rock/alternative?
cd: Album of the Year

Band: Dream Theater
Genre: Progressive Rock
CD: All of them

They're not mainstream so a lot of people don't know who they are - a pity because they're musical geniuses.

I can't believe this...I was gonna say RA and Lacuna Coil...what are the chances?

If you like RA and Lacuna Coil you will like The Gathering, great CD.

Not only that but, I can here thier original riffs ripped off by just about EVERY mainstream metal band played on the radio today!

PS my fav Dream theater LP is falling into Infinity!

oh yea forgot to add these:

Thrice - Illusion of Safety
Identity Crisis
Artist in the Ambulance

and

Story of the Year - Page Avenue

Buckethead - Electric Tears

Not sure what kind of music I would consider it, WMP shows avant-garde for genre. This album grows on me every time I put it in my cd player. "Mustang" and "The Way to Heaven" are my favorite tracks.

as soon as i saw the title to this thread, i thought O.A.R. definately...they have been my favorite band for like 2 1/2 years. most people dont know who they are, and most people that i make listen to it say its ###, but i love em. 34th and 8th is pretty good, but i have so many live concerts downloaded on my computer that i like so much better. the live concerts are the best though because its the next best thing to seeing them in concert. right now my cd case in my visor is overflowing with live OAR concerts that i put on cd. its always nice when you find someone else that likes thier music.

Depends on my mood, in general.

Anything from:
Pantera - Cowboys from Hell (Rock)
and Sepultura, (Rock?)

To Harry Connick Jr. (Jazz)

In the DSM, if the road is curvy enough, however... it Has to be Apotheosis and Apoptygma (Tech / House / Trance)

Just downloaded from iTunes after previewing some.. Pretty good. ;-)

Thanks for the heads up there.
Kinda reminds me somewhat of System Of A Down.

Band: Senses Fail
Genre: Rock
Album: Let it Enfold You

Great band. I don't think that many other people like them though.
