I bought a FP Green setup on eBay, brand new, from a private seller. My friend was having computer problems (we used his account) so the original Paypal invoice was lost. I explained to him that I would need a few days to transfer money around, and he said that was fine. It took 10 days total (only 5 business days, which I told him it would take a few) because of weekends and the recent President's Day, on which my bank is not open.
I transfer the money through Paypal, only to get the money returned to me 2 hours or so later.
This, in itself, is a problem. However, on top of this, Paypal charges me 2.9%, so I just lost $27.71.
I have been in contact with him, and he tried saying he e-mailed my friends account and said not to send the money, which is complete bullshit because I had been checking his e-mail every day from my house.
He claims I took too long, even though he set no date on his auction as to how long the winner had to pay, and I explained to him I needed to transfer the money.
At this point, I just really wanted to setup, so I offered to transfer the money back over, including the $27.71 that he also "claims" to have been charged. This is also bullshit. I have a "Premier" account, which allows me to accept credit cards, and this is why I am charged. He has a regular account, which charges nothing. He e-mails back saying that he already sold the setup, and that all he has left is an EPROM and a 1G throttle body.
I wish I could give out the name to find more info on him, but this site won't allow it, and goodguybadguy.org is down. I already contacted eBay about this. I just want my 27 bucks back.
