im getting 550cc injectors and wanted to know how hard they are to install and how to install them....

un do the 3 screw's...then pull rail off...then take old injectors out...replace with new...(make sure u have all o-rings and the black spacers)....then put rail back on...screw the 3 screws back in...BINGO !......... :dsm:

just did mine..... remember not to over torque the 3 bolts on the fuel rail.... 4lbs should do it i overdid mine and believe me the bolts can only be found in the dealer .... or a nuts and bolts specialty shop..... also, now would be the best time to replace all the o-rings on the injectors they're probably plastic by now and you'll just get a leak. good luck and happy boosting!!

p.s. try searching next time you dont want the mods up ur a$$

If you need the o-rings, and they have to be the once that are fuel resistant, can be found at www.machv.com for $40, i had to order some new once cuz i pinched mine between the injector and fuel rail.. By the way coat the o-rings w/ a tiny bit of oil so they slip in nice and easy. They should spin sorta freely when installed onto the rail.. If not check the o-ring.

Put a towel underneath because the black spacers fall out a lot and you can never find them.

Very good advice! I wish I would have thought to do something like that when I changed my injectors. I ended up searching for and fishing out one of those spacers that fell into the engine somewhere and never hit the ground. :( No fun. Took like an hour or more to find and get that sucker outta there.

You can hold the black spacers in place with some RTV. Place the injectors in the intake first and then lower he rail over them getting them into their respective holes 1 at a time. mark

Glad it helped. I have only had my car 1 summer but habe changed inj's plenty of times. First time I had the harnesses under the rail! Now I had a rail powdercoated so here I go again! Mark
