i was just wondering what mods i can do to a 1990 plymouth laser 2.0 automatic transmission... if ne one can help me i would be very thankful...:D

to the actual transmission? get a diff computer, or yours reprogrammed, so it will shift at higher rmps. it will eat up more gas but if thats what ya gotta do. or u could put a standard tranny in there :)

thanks for the help.. u think i could do any mods under the hood to move a little bit faster... ex.. intake, or ne thing else..?

yea i kno its a bad combo... im lookin into a laser awd i dont kno the year yet but i will look at it soon.. ne ways the auto i have now runs pretty good... ive beat out a couple of civics every once and a while auto ofcourse. Im just lookin for some speed tweaks for now.. also i am idling rough and i dont kno what to do..? does ne kno an easy and cheap way to fix that? Also would opening my air filter provide some more horsepower?

Hey i got a 93 talon ES......That means non-turbo and yes its an auto.....I'd rather be drivin a 5-speed TSI but the NT auto isnt' as bad as everyone thinks....I've smoked a 5 speed probe GT (not the slowest car out there), and a 5 speed Civic that had a cat-back on it. The only mod i've done is a K&N filter....I'm gettin a cat-back in the spring, and i'm cuttin off the air box to increase airflow. With those 2 mods + headers that i'm hopin for..My Car will be quick.. even with the auto and NT engine...Holla back.. :talon:

slap a A/T cooler if youre gonna be punishing your tranny.k&n filter, good mod, turbo cams,
cat back, punishment racing header i heard is good,or else, scratch the header and look into boltin up a stock turbo kit and just run lower boost.if not keep the header and slap a nitrous kit maybe a safc2 to tune wile youre on the juice.other than these options it gets expensive.

Exhaust and a 1g N/A hurts it more than help it. I put a exhaust on my 1g n/a 5 speed,it sounded good, but was slower. I say K&N, a TRUE cold air intake, not one of those jobs that allow the hot engine air to be sucked in. Oepn up the exhaust a lil, but not to much cuz it takes away the low-end torque. Nitrous would be the best power adder, and the cheapest, a 75 shot wet on race gas would be plenty, and would keep up with most stock turbos.
