I'll soon have a bone stock 95 TSi AWD auto and have heard a lot about its lack of low end torque. I've read up on Torque convertors and was wondering if there is a certain safe range that they have to be limited to? Any other good ways to increase the low end? I know there are some topics on this, but I'm just worried about a stocker not being able to handle any changes. Any pictures/links to good convertors for my certain set up would be appreciated.

By the way, I'm just looking to get anywhere from .5-1.5 seconds off my 1/4.

Thanks in advance and please let me know if I'm being too vague.

The biggest ET saving feature of the restalled TC or aftermarket TC is being able to stall higher at the line and take those 60' down tremendously. With that being said, get rid of that stocker once you get rid of your T25. Speak with John over at IPT (who also sponsors this site) about his restalled TC's and aftermarket TC's. I am running the restalled stocker in my GSX and I can stall to about 4000+ on the RPMs and 22psi of boost. The best mod I did for my AT was the TC and DSMLink. Do it ASAP!

Agreed, I was dissapointed and frustrated with the car until I installed a restalled stocker...
It becomes another animal and without tuning, I shaved almost 2/10 immediately off my 60' still on street tires...

What type of convertor should I get for a my car?

Your best bet is to call John at IPT and talk to him about it...Tell him your mods and or plans..then he'll have one for you..
