Can anyone help me out with tuning a built motor with E6K, I can send you the file and give exacts on the car, here is mainly what it has:

Ross/Eagle (9:1)
Head done by TurboTrix
FPRed
34X10X3 (intercooler) 2.5 piping
3 inch, no cat
93 octane map
880 injectors

The car is running rich, I can tell when I change the oil and it stinks like gas.

I have a dyno, but that is only full throttle and I would like to work on the driveablity part as well. The car dyno'd at 416awhp@24psi (17 degree's timing) on 93 Sunoco

Any help is appreciated, email me for more details or if you can help please. I am in NJ BTW.
 
There are a few other thing that can cause a gas smell in your oil. For instance, You might have a faulty injector that is leaking fuel after shut down. What is you EGT temp when running and o2 readings?

The EGT probe was stripped when I bought the car, so I haven't fixed it yet. at full throttle the A/F is between 11 and 10. I havn't gotten my wide band yet, so I can't really tell, and the haltech reading is like 59 sometimes or 83 (while driving after warm). I have no idea what those numbers mean on the hatlech data page.

I will do some data logging tonight, there is also a new finding (just happened on the way home). The oil light flickers sometimes when under boost, but not in vac. Any idea on that one?
 
what are your rings gapped at? (just wondering).

I'd avoid driving the car if at all possible until you get the gas problem solved. Gas in your oil will eat your bearings up quick, and if you're running that rich you might be at risk of burning your rings up.

I'm obviously not helping on this, so i'm gonna say that your best bet would be to call around to the haltech dealers closest you and see if you can set an appointment with them for tuning.

They are gapped at 28, also my good boy can tune it but he is in Boston, so I will trailer the car up there. I have it driving much better now, but I will drain a little oil out and see if it still stinks.

i knwo turbotrix does dyno tuning but not sure if there familiar with the ek6. im in southern jersey and i know of nobody down here either.

also what are you using for a fpr?

also post a few logs if you can. id liek to see what the logger is sayin

They did the full throttle, and there is absolutly no driveabiltity that they could figure out. I was there twice, cold start is just non existant.

I will take logs in a couple weeks, got to go to bean town. :)
 
How the f*ck are you tuning without a wideband, do you want to blow up????

I have never heard of the EK6 only the E6K which is what Turbotrix used to run. Most haltech software is similar.

I think Sean Ivey is in Jersey as well, and I think he runs a haltech as well.

I have since been working on it, its not an issue anymore. typo sorry its a E6K.
 
Good deal bro, the Haltech is kindof easy once you get the hang of it, its like a really cool AFC with timing control, damn that sounds cheesy
