Anyways, I think this is the forum to post this in. I found out today that I need to spend 900 dollars to fix my lower ball joints, upper ball joints, and tie rods. Soooo..... Ive decided to do it myself and save some cash. I tried looking for anything on this, and I had no luck. Is it easy to replace these things? What tools do I need? All help is appreciated.

Buy a service manual or Haynes manual, and start reading up.

Check out NAPA or Autozone or whatever for parts, or Conicelli or Tallahassee Mitsubishi for OEM parts cheap.

Also look at www.vfaq.com

or just by your cadillac wit hdubs on it. because these days, cadillacs come with complimentary bitches and hoes.:p

if you mess with the tie rods your gonna need to get a aligment after you get it back together. Or you might be driving with really F'ed up toe and mess up your tires and/or driveability.

i changed both of my tie rod ends withut having an alignment problem.. you just gotta know how to do it ;)

Bring your car to a Chrysler dealership, they will replace your lower balljoints for free, they are under recall. I had mine done. This will save you a little. As for the upper balljoints, you can buy the whole upper arm w/ ball joint for 50-60 on ebay. http://www.alldata.com/TSB/03/95031548.html

Very helpful to solving his problem.

Seriously though, you should get some sort of manual and read up on the subject. My chiltons lays out the specific steps in doing what you want to do.
