at first i thought my pulley was loose,so i tried to tighten it.it was tight.i pulled on the pulley and the crank slid with it.it moves maybe an 1/8 of an inch in and out. there is also a knocking sound. i think mabye the its hitting my crank angle sensor. anyone have any ideas. the car still starts and drives ok, but i aint driving it.im not ready to swap the motor yet

Yup thats the famous crank walk, better off not driving on it because ur bottom end can take a crap on you suddenly.
