Hey guys well Im thinking about racing open downpipe this week at the track. My question is will my ecu go into limp mode or slow me down any?t

Possibly will show a CEL light just disconnect it and see what it does, better just weld a bung on your dump pipe that way it will run ok around till you hit the throttle!

If you are worried about the CEL and limp mode, get an O2 simulator, they arent that expensive and will prevent any problems. I got one when I put my RNR turboback on b/c it threw my CEL and even though I have digimoto (OBD2 logging/ecu software) with my Ipaq and I can turn those codes off, it still kept coming back. The simulator stopped all that. I bought mine from Casper Electronics in Chicago and its a sinch to install. Just my $.02

If they only made an egr and cam angle sensor simulator, I would be allright.

It will throw a CE light if you run w/o the 2nd O2 sensor, but it will not go into any limp mode. The car will not run properly w/o the 1st O2 sensor though.

This is correct it will throw a CEL and nothing else, you don't even notice the CEL after awhile
;)

Or just wrap the second O2 sensor in foil and zip tie it under the car. Plug the bung with an 18mm(i think) oil pan plug. Alot of people run like this, myself included
