the other guy who wanted to be on dub mag with 20s is crazy. on the other hand i want 19s, how much of a drop can i have without rubbing/modifying? and what size tire?

Don't expect to go very fast with 19s. I think the limit on a GST should be 17s. 19s is too much rotating mass and you're gonna get crazy wheel hop (plus your robbing your car of horsepower). But hey it's your car, have fun.

the reason i'm going with 19s is because i don't plan on upgrading the turbo until a year or 2, so for the mean time i'll be riding on 19s. i want to upgrade but what i want will cost over 5 grand so i need to save up.

Which makes you about two-thirds as crazy.

Please note that this is a performance-oriented forum. Don't expect anything other than mindless Hang-out-like replies and flames if you come in here to talk about stupid-large wheels.

Unless, of course, you mean 19" gun-metal wheels, tires with stripes built into the tread, and lighted caps for the fillers ... in which case, you totally rawk! And ignore those people who will argue that large wheels will make your stock brakes look, well, inadequate; they're just jealous. Why, just this morning, while I was pulling out of my garage into a light snow flurry, this incredible chick popped up out of nowhere and started tapping on my window.

Yeah, sure, so, it was my wife asking that I pick up some coffee on the way home. But for a moment there, I could swear she was Hawaiian.
