thats what id get next if i were you...you have intake now you need to release the pressure in your stock exhaust...before adding any boost for sure...then that bov i have...
 
how much of a gain would you get from a 2g manifold??would you get better spool up or better topend??both??

the stock 1g's seem to have cracking probs...my roomate just took his heat shield off to reveal a huge crack in the top of the manifold... :thumbdown
 
The 2g manifold flows quite a bit more air. Yes, the exhaust manifolds on these cars tend to have a problem with cracking.

man i hate how cold its getttin i have to go to work all early so my seats always are freezing...man when it waswet the other day it was fun...gotta go slide around in my car...i cant wait for snow get to take my truck out in the mud and snow...

thats gotta be a sucky drive from your house sherra if it was snow covered...

edit***ive gotta sell my car quik...sbr free shipping ends on the 30th!!!i need to get my parts before that ends or ill get killed on shipping!~ :cry: :cry:
 
Other than the fact I hate the cold with a passion....its not a bad drive at all. Good old AWD ;)

The N1 and RRE are nothing alike. They just meet up, thats all. They're not the same color, diameter, nothing. The RRE piping is much better quality. They're good at what they do for our DSMs.

hey spooln how do you like the RNR's exhaust??

do you have the catback or the turbo back...i am a little confused with the turbo back is that from the 02 sensor back or the turbo back???

My "POS" is running good...no idea why you call it that, its always ran good and will continue to run good...as far as the 17's in the 1/4 it probably is still running 17's I don't really expect more than that from a stock auto car. As far as you being the "fastest car in Reno" you probably got lucky or Justin might have mis shifted or his car could have been just running like crap. I wouldn't let it go to your head to much...as I doubt it would happen again. :thumb:

It's exactly how it sounds, it runs from the turbo all the way back to the muffler. The turbo connects to the 02 housing, the 02 housing connects to the down pipe, the down pipe connects to the catalytic converter (or race pipe), and the cat connects to the "cat back". Sorry I had to dumb it down a couple shades but this is how I learned it, and by getting under my car.

So this guy Ryan raced has a 16G powered car correct? Im sorry to say, but the odds are on Ryans car due to the size of his turbo and supporting modifications. When Ryan's gets a better clutch, his car should be even faster. Also, when Ryans's car is better tuned, it will be faster. Fastest car in Reno, I doubt it. Fastest DSM in Reno, Ryan holds the title.

ok kewl...i didnt know exactly came with the whole kit...i am planning on ordering that kit as soon as my 2g is sold...is the muffler in that kit the same that SPOOLN has???
i knew the exhaust parts just the kit didnt offer external dump for an o2 housing so i was not sure if it came with one...but now i know it does!!!thanks...

You would have to ask Ryan himself, it's his exhaust.

Care to explain? As I see it, the more air and fuel you cram into the motor, the faster it will be. Ryans car is flowing ALOT more air than that 16g powered car, and Im assuming hes using more fuel to compinsate for the extra air.

I'm not bad talking the other car, in fact I am impressed and I would like to see it for myself.

What? You dont know shit about cars - I've offered to help you, and have been nice to you, but you didn't trust me. Sucks for you.

John - I love my RNR exhaust. It's BEAUTIFUL. Takes forever to get to you tho... being they custom make them PER-ORDER. Sounds great too.

Tim- Yes, it is 16g powered but the car weights 2600lbs. He recently ran a VERY impressive time in the 1/4 mile, but I wont say anything because that's his buisiness. I dont think he can beat me on the street. He makes way too much power for his FWD street tires - I dont think he could catch me once he's gotten traction. We're friends though, so I wish him the best of luck. And if anyone beats me, I want it to be him. And yes, I'm not the fastest car in town.. but as far as street DSMs/Imports go, I think I'm up top, unless someone beats me. I know there are atleast two cars out there that have ALOT of potential.

I'd also like to boot that I'm running pump gas, full weight (tire, jack, everything) and catalytic converter ;)
