I've seen a few skylines in person, and frankly i think they aren't all that great looking. They just seem to boaty looking. I guess i shouldn't say much because i've never got to ride in one. But i just dont think they r all that great looking.

The porsche is for all the yuppys that want to pretend to race.

You can get a 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo (415 hp) for roughly 65 grand.

You can get a R32 Skyline for about 20 grand (that's after import and everything).

You can then turn around and toss say- 10 grand in it, and you'll have a better performing car that will get more looks than a Porsche ever will- considering you'll be getting out on the wrong side of the bloody car =P

Also the fact that they weren't production made over here and have to be imported, therefore they're not all over the streets, and it's really a unique thing if someone has one over here.

True..I've NEVER seen a Skyline just rolling in the streets..seen a few at car shows, but that's it.

I think the word "skyline" is over-gawked at. Many skylines aren't as impressive as other US cars. The GTR skylines are the true beasts. Twin turbo, awd, and internals capable of holding massive amounts of power, all in a relatively light package when compared with the VR4 3kgts. Not my favorite car to look at, but they grow on you

Because it can put out close to 1000HP on the stock block just like the Supra. However, it's drivetrain surpasses that of the Supra and it's a 6 cylinder that likes revving to 8k. What else do you want to hear? Did I say it's sexy and mean all in the same package?

I think it appeals to us tuners, and you always want what you can't have. Can you picture yourself in a bentley continental gt? Or a mosler? Even a saleen s7? I can't but I sure as hell can picture my self in a skyline gtr.

Yes, it has the ability to handle quite a bit of power, and is a great platform. It isnt the pinnacle of automotive greatness though.

Bah, Skylines were cool (at least to me) before 2F2F, thanks to the Gran Turismo games. I agree with the earlier guys about it being special because it is not produced over here. I mean in the US BMW and Mercedes are luxury cars, but here in Germany they are like Chevy or Ford. Our American cars draw the same kind of attention (well the cool ones like muscle cars) that Skylines and Evos do in the states.

my instructor i have this phase was telling us how when she used to work over in japan a few years ago a skyline to them is like a corvette to us...and they would trade you for a corvette in a hot second and for us its the other way around im sure most of us would trade a corvette for a skyline stock for stock..i know i would

Theres a few in the car crew I roll around with. They both have roughly around 1khp.

They are bad ass high horse drift monsters. All of them, the two door and the four door. To the guy that said 20 grand after inmport, uh no, try 80 grand, due to the fact the car isn't U.S. spec. You have to put all kinds of shit on it.
