ok, i bought a boost leak tester from MachV and it is on its way...I just have a few simple questions for you guys...
1) Do you manage how much boost goes in to the turbo by adjusting your boost controller?

2) What pump should i get and where?

3) I know i haven't done it yet, but do you automatically hear air going flowing out of the BOV? since it is detached and air is going to flow through the intercooler pipe

...alright well i guess that is all i have for now, pretty simple

#1. You mean while doing the leak test? No

#2. A compressor with a psi cutoff swtich is best, but a good high rate bicycle pump will do.

#3. You dont want to hear air flowing out of anywhere, including the bov... this is a leak test.

#1 - just to clarify.. the amount of pressure you put into your system is related to how much you pump with the hand pump...

#3 - you shouldn't hear anything from the BOV.. unless there is a leak. its also best to spray soapy water on certain areas to check for leaks also. it will bubble up visibly, but may not be apparent when just listening for sound

cool...thanks guys, but i have another question, you can honestly just buy a bike pump to do this? and how long does the air stay...can you turn off the pump to listen? i heard that the pressure should stay in there for a pretty good amount of time...thanks again

Buy these things...
