In a thread I was checking out earlier, there was a link to the girlie girl racing site. I went there and was checking out the gallery and the mods....disgusting!!! So I thought I'd just start a new thread to rave on about it.

First of all, basically every girl has a Civic, Corolla, Cavalier, or Neon. I'd almost guarantee that most of these cars were bought by the girls parents, if the car even belongs to them in the first place.

Secondly, they are all show. Almost all mods have to do with looks somehow. For example:

From a 2003 Civic....Blue Reverse Lights, Blue Dome Lights, Blue License Plate Lights,

From a 2000 Eclipse GT....Custom Blue Diamond Plate Floor Mats, Neons In Footwells, All Interior Lights Swapped for Blue LED's

From a 2002 Accord...Indiglo Gauges, 2 15" Blue Neon Tubes Under Dash Board, 2 9" Blue Neon Tubes In Trunk

And best of all, they have pictures like this!!!!! Disgusting

congrats on breaking a rule... some people like this stuff some dont you dont have to start a flame post about it keep it to yourself dude

Yes its against the rules..............

But boy was he ever right.

What rule has he broken? Nobody's mentioned rice, I don't see any hot chicks  , nothing seems out of place. This is no worse than the exhaust tips thread.

BTW, I think the whole "girlie girl" creates a stereotype that makes chicks seem out of place in motorsports.

The original poster is a girl, John. :)

And it IS against the rules. I forget which specific one, though.

I'd much rather waste my working hours here than at GirlieGirlRacing. I try to go for substance, LOL.

Sorry, I didn't realize I was breaking a rule. My bad, sorry mods!!!!

It just makes me mad, cause when someone checks out that site they probably assume that all girls are like that.

A place for everything, and everything in its place.

I don't like arachnids, but you don't see me trash talking spider forums dot com over here, do you?

Hey at least the girls are into cars. Most girls don't care about how fast it is, its all how it looks. Explains the ugly HS girls hitting on cheesy guys in civics just because it has a big ass park bench bolted on it. Anywho, :thumb: to those girls, at least they're doing something constructive.

Eh...did you look at the site?? 95 percent of the chicks on that site only have visual-mods.

what irks me more than that is when you see like a riced civic with the body kit in primer sitting next next to say 72 chevelle in admirable conditon....girl be like "nice car" to the guy in the civic and not say shit the chvelle guy...yes...i've seen this happen...WHY?

It's the way they've been trained/brought up. They think that muscle cars are old and slow, but civics are the hot shit. How that makes any sense, I dunno, I'm not a high school student anymore.

I can tell you why. They don't know classic cars, that's why. What's more popular now with the younger group are flashy cars, and if that's what they like, they'll go for it to get the boys.

Most girls aren't into cars for a hobby and speed and such; they like the aesthetic purpose of cars to get them what they want: boys.

But don't knock just the girls, it's the guys with the "riced civic" who attract them. ;)

I disagree. You find me one person, ANY person, that picks out a '72 Chevelle (or another commendable car of that era) and says its slow. They are called "classics" for that reason: because they are admirable, highly regarded and worthy. Anybody in their right mind wouldn't peg a car such as that "slow" and teach it to their daughters.

Kids ar elike that because it's what they see on TV and in video games and the like. It's what's "new and hot". It's what's selling, and everyone else wants it.

If I asked a girl here to name a fast car for me, they would either say a Mustang or a Civic, because that is what most people here drive. Mustangs cause they are cheap, and Civics cause the Fast and the Furious craze hasn't died out yet.

Here? At this website? I'm not feeling you on this one.

Direct yourself to the nearest Honda board. Most of them think V8's are slow, and they're heavy hunks of iron. They only lose to them because their V-tec didn't kick in, or they missed a shift, yadda yadda.

Some people don't teach their daughters anything about cars, so the girls are forced to learn from their HS classmates. Who also happen to be total d-bags.

We're just a little off topic here.

I think she meant in her town/area. Most people here know that civics are slow.

After Girlie Girl Racing being around for nearly 10 years I am suprised and sorry you just came across them. Shoot the website has been up since 1998!

I really don't see the point of trying to bring shame to something like Girlie Girl racing. I recall when Diana was trying to get that venture off the ground in the mid 90's. Which I am sure is long before you got into tuning vehicles. I personally have been tuning cars for about 16 years so I have see alot come an go and have seen numerous trends in the market place. Back around this time it was like only "Tom Boys" messed with cars. There was really no segment for the Feminine, I love pink and all things girly type racer/tuner. Hence the name, "Girlie Girl Racing". If anything she has opened many new doors and added a whole new segment for lady's. Her company also holds charities in which proceeds go to a worthy cause such as Breast Cancer research or the American Cancer Society. So don't go judging her company based upon vehicles and profiles of the customer gallery. The Lady's there that are part of the Girlie Girl team take pride in the fact that the work under the hood and the rest of the car is done by them and not by their boyfriends or husbands. My daughter, who is the natural car nut of my two children, loves Barbies, loves Hello-Kitty and loves pink and all things Girly for that matter, so she will be one of the Girlie Girl racers for sure.

I think this makes an interesting point. How many of the people that responded to this know that the 1970 Chevelle SS with the LS6 was the last of the fast Chevelle's?

How many of you are guys? So, if you think "Some people don't teach their daughters anything about cars, so the girls are forced to learn from their HS classmates" (kellbeast), how many of you are more ignorant now for claiming to know something about cars?

I do not intend to anger folks, but I am sure I hurt someone's feelings anyway. I think we need to acknowledge that even us guys often don't know a damned thing about cars.

What the hell? I was talking about how a lot of parents won't teach their daughters about cars, because girls are supposed to like hair products and shoes. I never once claimed to "know all about cars." And what the #### does that have to do with a LS6 Chevelle?
