This was my first "good" log with dsmlink, I dont know if these are the data points that are best to log, ill probly take out coolant in the future but i just wanted to be safe the first time around. Is the knock acceptable? I have stock 450s, and stock IC for now so is there any tuning i can do? Boost is around .6/7 bar (8-10 psi) is that the max i can run for now? Thanks for help.

o2's aren't that important when he can see knock, log TPS next time instead of coolant temp.

Also just keep it simple like 1 pull from 2500 till redline in 3rd.
 
what am i suposed to do with an auto, cant exatly select gears. thanks for the tip though tommow ill log:

rpm, knock, tps, airflow, and duty
 
I don't know what might be considered a "normal" amount of knock for that low of boost, but I would sure hope to see zero knock.
Looks like you have a 2g so I guess you don't have to worry about your base timing.
I assume you're using at least 91 octane?
I don't know squat about the Injen intake, but if it does not come with an intake shroud then you may want to fab one (see the $2 intake vfaq).
You may want to run some kind of cleaner to make sure you are not having trouble from carbon deposits - seafoam or whatever. Water injection is fun, and this cleans up carbon deposits as well.

Can you log intake temps? If so, that would be handy to see if the cold air intake shroud would be just be helpful or desperately needed.

i think i dsmlink can log intake temp. also im running 93, yeah ill do some more logs soon and if i have knock ill retard my initial timign settings, like the dsmlink tech article.
 
Well that log looked pretty decent. Since you are not boosting 14 psi or more, knock would not be an issue. (As I can see with yur really low knock counts)
In regards to intake temps It would be a good idea to log them. I usually log (On my Logger) Air intake, TPS, Coolant, Timing, RPM, air flow and O2 (but only refer to O2 to make sure my engine is with sufficient fuel and not as a tuning parameter)
Here are all the temp related items that pull timing from the 2G ECU Tuning
from DSMLink..

Coolant temps below 206F get full timing
Coolant temps above 224F lose two degrees of advance
Coolant temps between those two lose only one degree
Intake temps above 84F or below 34F lose one degree

With that info you can see that intake temps play a role in power seeing that it affects timing. Well I would also like to add that with lower intake temps (As with what I have noticed with my car) the coolant temps also drop amazingly. I noticed that your temps were at 213 almost all the way with a slight drop in temp in higher rpm. At 213, my fan cuts on and shuts down at 199-203F. Thats normal and this may be with yours also. But if you lower your temps from 115-125F to 80F, your coolant temps (Again using my car as the source for example) would be 199-206. Log your temps to see how high it gets.
To my point, I have made a project that helped me achieve the 80F ntake temps and this is for 2G cars with the SMIC. Making the shroud around the filter was not enough. I still saw high temps. My project gives me cool intake temps consistantly and cool coolant temps as well. Doing 3rd gear pulls for my logs have proved to me of having low coolant temps (As low as 199and rare but I have logged it as low as 195F) and dropping air intake temps as RPMs rises. I just thought I'd add to what ahains started with regards to intake temps and help out with an idea that helped me.
I boost 15 psi on my Evo III 16G with stock SMIC (with cool air project) stock 450's injectors, and rewired Walbro 190 and my timing rises steadily to 18 degrees with 91 octane. Intake temps were 81F and coolant temps were 199F. Air flow was almost 28lbs/min at the top of 3rd gear. At the start of the pull initial timing drop of 8 degrees and rises with no flatlines or drops.

thanks alot man, ill defintly read through those posts, im so glad you have almost an identical set up and im running much less pressure, so if i get those temps down i can kick up the boost a little. I have always thought that the stock filter location is silly. Thanks.
