I have read that the evo16g will creep a bit when running low boost. now im unclear that if the boost is raised the turbo will sustain a higher boost?

I ask this because I currently have stock injectors an intercooler, and im unsure how much boost to run. I would like to run the most boost posible and tune it well with my dsmlink. Because the evo3 flows more air at a specific psi i dont think i can run the 16 psi i was running on the t25. what do you guys think? 12? 14? psi.

Also getting back to the first thing i said, if i do experience some creep, can i expect it to be reduced when i up the boost when i add a large fmic and 660s?

Thanks, im so excited to get tuning.

Just run as much boost as you can without knocking.

It might boost creep a bit at a lower boost level but that should go away when you turn up the boost.

From reading your profile you don't have a downpipe. If you still have the stock downpipe you won't have to worry about creeping. The best thing you can do it port the heck outta the turbo and o2 housing. The frontmount and injectors won't help cure creep but the injectors may keep you from fuel cutting.

ok i will have to update my profile, i wasnt gonna untill i finished the install, but it looks like now is the time.

well the only reason i thought fmic and injectors would help eleviate creep was that i would be able to run a higher boost, and thus not creep like canadiantsi was talking about.

EDIT: Ok profile updated.

my ported evo III creeps to 19#s with a apex'i turbo back. and I guess thats good compared to some of the other posts I've seen on this site.

my solution for boost creep was to upgrade my fuel system so i could handle the boost my turbo likes to creep to.
i creep to ~20psi. with my 450's i would lean out as the boost crept up. so i put in evo8 560's and a 2g mas and now my car can creep to 20 psi and my 02 and knock readings show everything is ok.
i know it's backward logic but why wouldn't i want to run 20 psi anyway?
