Me and Mike(Miamieclipse) were talking tonight and we were thinking about how a 420a only dsm shoot out would go. what do you think the turnout would be? maybe have a class for turbo 420a's, have a nitrous 420a bracket, an all motor bracket and a stock bracket? that would be a feet to orginize, but could turn out successful. what do you guys think? ehh mikes gonna put up the other bells and whistles we were thinking about

yea chris & I have been discussing this. I would like to see this come true......I was thinking about it for a while, here are some events we could have:

NOTE: This plan is in progress, and if we actually do have turnout in this thread we will go out and look for sponsors to help us out, i may know of some companies that would help.

420a Meet & greet as you will, meet up somewhere & then go cruise down the strip
Dyno Day: As chris mentioned, 3 diff brackets, all motor/turbo/nitrous........sponsor permited we could have trophies for highest whp, respectivly the 1st 2nd & 3rd place in each bracket
Track day: Sponsor permiting (moroso reg. 1/4 mile fee is $15) going to the track & and putting down some nasty times.
420a bbq: 420a owners coming to a local place chill & have a good bbq. Hopefully we can get sponsors to help out, but everyone can bring something different.

Those are just some ideas i threw together in the past 5 minutes chris & i discussed this. So what do you guys think? Location is yet to be determined, this would be a 3 day meet and if we do go through with this we can get a hotel to give us special rates........

I think its a pretty good idea...might want to see whats going on at 2gnt.com too. Its pretty much all 420's there and they always organize a bunch of meets and such.

I mean i am sure we can get some sponsors, i know of some companies might help out & i can draft some proposals for some big companies like hahn & howell. This thing would be a 3day event (on a weekend of course) we would have a badass time w/ the dyno & track and the bbq would likely be the last day (before the track?) as a time to kick it & just chill.

I am thinking this could be a way to go, assuming we do it on a weekend:

Friday-Meet & greet, cruise the strip etc
Saturday-Dyno Day from early in the morning might last till late afternoon......bbq now?
Sunday-if not bbq sat do it now, & then later the track (for the bbq it could be kinda like a show i guess, get some dj, good food, have a fun time..oh and don't forget the chicks )

What suggestions do you guys have???

Nice, right now i want to ask of people who are on board with the idea make a list like chris & i have, you may just copy paste the list & add yourself on....this will give us a basic idea of how many people would be interested & the more people that come out the better the proposal for sponsors would be.

we were thinking about that, but the guys there tend to be jack asses to noobs(or people who dont post much there so then assume there noobs) so we decided to run it by here first. it looks like its going to be somewhere in the midwest to northeast, since im from chicago and everyone else is from the northeast, we'll have to look into it. if we get enough support of it we will post it over on 2gnt to see what they think. me and mike are gonna talk some more and figure some stuff out, but it probably wont be till next summer.

wherever it be (not sure yet) it would be BADASS, i know of some companies that if we do go foward with this i will contact. I will draw up some propals and run them by chris....I would not doubt that Howell would like to see this happen as well.........question guys since we are doing this 420a shouldnt we call up our neon cousins? or should we stick this to just eclipses/talons?

hmmm... from the people that responded... somewhere like ohio might be good. we got some illinois people, a couple of ohio people, then some east coast and pennsylvania people... ohio seems to be the median... what you guys think?

ohio ohio ohio ohio pleaaase ....Norwalk Raceway is the SHIZNITTTT....everybody big races there and its only like a 30 min drive for me..plus its smack dab in the northern middle of ohio
