Just a title! and now offense to females.
I just wanted to say for the longest time I thought eclipses were sissy cars. Until Fast and the Furious came out. Which after watching it about 20 times in a short period you find out all the crap that in the movie. But about 4 month later I found my self in a 95 gst. And wish I would of bought one insted of the saturn(yes a saturn is any more mocho than a eclipse) I had bought. But now the saturn is gone and the Eclipse is here. Eclipse is alot more fun, gets alot more girls and there is plenty of parts to give it a beefy look and sound.

yep, just a movie.
same thing happened here. cops started looking for imports instead of just muscle cars. tons of kids bought civics and think they are fast. everyone calls it naws.
they should make fast and the furious two about a kid from upstate new york who buys a dsm. saves his money and doesn't race. over the course of five years he slowly builds his car up to peak performance. then when he gets done he realizes he put too much money into the car to risk an accident racing it. so he sits in his driveway, drinks a beer, and looks at the car.

now that's a movie i can relate to.

hell yeah... that's every REAL car guys story... and for the climax he has to decide between having electricity for the next couple months, or getting the new, super Bad @$$ {insert random brand here} {insert random part here}... and he eats NOTHING but Ramen noodles for the ENTIRE movie...

i already eat ramen noodles all the time and im not trying to save for anything:D

that is funny... a friend of mine and I both ate NOTHING but Ramen noodles for a month, after hearing of a guy who did it for a whole year to save for a turbo... (is that true or just an import urban legend?) but my savings resulted in those spiffy 18in O-Zs... his resulted in the chromoly flywheel spinning on his B16 CRX (he runs side by side with me until just over 110mph... then he runs out of gears...) lookie, lookie ====>

hey p8ntballa, not to be a jerk or anything but simpsons is my favorite show. so i really appreciate the reference but it's, "well, lah-de-dah, mr. french man."
but nice pick on the line.

Seeing a post that metioned FnF, I had to reply to all out there who still love muscle cars.......

Did anybody else out there drool on themselves when Vin showed whats-his-face his old man's car? Wow, a 69 or 70 Charger R/T with a 426 Hemi blown......I thought the Dukes of Hazzard ruined all those cars!!!!!

I'd kill to have that car........I'm an old Mopar muscle car fan, and the Charger was always my favorite, along with the Roadrunner and of course the 'Cuda. ANYTHING with a 426 HEMI in it.......what a powerhouse. I first watched that movie with a friend that knows little about cars, and he gave me a big "Yeah, right!" when Vin pulled the front tires on that hole shot.....if he only knew.....

BTW, to all members posting on this thread, sorry to get off the subject a bit.....

not to start flames but i get out plenty. i've been watching the show since '89 and one of the animators used to buy me beer freshman year. wouldn't you pay alot of attention of you had connections like that? sorry. i know off the subject.

as a guy who loves muscle cars and imports, that '69 charger was hot. but nowhere did they say or show that it was a hemi. like everything else in that movie it was probably a blown 360 or something not that great.

oh, yeah. dukes of hazard: they used a lot of bondo queens with chevy 350's in em to jump stuff like the hazard river. just paint em up right and who knows the difference. it's fun when they land and bend the unibody and then the next scene they skid out and the car's straight as an arrow.

OK on the movie what one was the eclipse, i hadn't watched the movie in like a year and i new nothing of dsm's when i watched it. was it that greenone the cop was driving? my minds blank guys.

metalli-chris, good call on that one - the movie didn't show or refer to the engine in the R/T at all......it was just an assumption. Chargers coulda came with a 318, 383 mag or a 440 (love a 440 six pack) as well as a hemi.....not sure about a 360, though...

ok to anyone who uses the term NOS, can KMA . First of all N.O.S a brand name (nitrous oxide systems). There are plenty of other man. out there such as nitrous works , exc. So stop acting like Vin desil and pimpimg your bycepts. SHut the Fu*k up and drive on the sidewalk cause if i see you , ya better get off the street,And Last i was wondering if anyone has gotten an intake from dejontool. i just ordered one for my laser rs turbo cause i couldnt find any other companys that had intakes for the turbo motor just the NA. Honestly im just bangin gears in this HOS untill i can get my hemi charger in order, then its curtains!!!

turboedoutlaser,

First you b!tch everyone out then ask a question? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesnt seem like the best way to get responses.

Geeeezzzzzz, does this mean we will all be punished using terms like "Band-Aid" and "QTip" in this forum as well? ;)

uuummm.... I am pretty sure they didn't make a SpYder in 1994... or ANY 1G convertable for that matter... why call yourself SpYder FX... if you don't drive a SpYder?... not to be a dick... just curious...

On an Eclipse! There is no room for a cold air intake on a turbo Eclipse.

With a FMIC, and a little fender cut work....there sure as heck is;)
