As you can see in my sig. pic, I used to have an off-set nitro yellow green racing stripe, and now I am almost done rebuilding my car and will be re-painting the whole thing. I kinda liked the stripe, and it really made the car stand out, but I don't really feel like messing with putting it back on the car this time. The car will still be black, I am thinking about maybe doing side graphics instead. What do you guys think?

I kinda like the stripe, but i'm sure it's a hassle to put that back on. For the side graphic, it depends what kind of graphic you are going to put on it. I'm a fan of body colored tribal graphics. There's this one guy aorund here who has a black civic, with a matte black tribal graphic on the side. It looks really cool, because when he drives by, you sorta see it, and kinda take a double take on it. You can see the graphic under some light conditons, but other times it blends in with the car.

So... If it's a hassle you don't want to deal with to do the stripe again, i would say stick with a body color, or slightly off body color graphic on the side.

| agreed. if i were you, and got the oppurtunity to repaint, i'd shave off every emblem and paint it black with no vinyl. i think it looks cleaner, and gives your car more style than with vinyl. or maybe its just cause i did it LOL.

can i see a pic of your progess? i'd appreciate it cause i want to see what you actually made happen from those heartwrenching pics in your gallery

I'm not a big fan of any decals on cars, but I say keep the racing stripe, it actually looks good. :thumb:

wasnt he asking either a stripe or a sidedecal, not yes or no?

I'ld say go with a side graphic, both types give you visual appeal, but side graphic is a little easier to apply and really make your car look nice. I like the idea that was suggested above about the same color graphic. just make sure if your car is gloss black, then you get a matte black vinyl sticker

I don't know if this is what you meant by side decals, but I really like the horizontal roll calls along the space between the front and rear tires, you know, along that moulding?

I think the black car with tastefully chosen dark silver roll call decals in that spot would look nice.

Sorry to rice up your idea.

Yeah I will be taking pics of the car today to show my progress. Not much original on the car, I had a new roof welded on... with a sunroof now, and a new door, fender, hatch, hood, all glass, body kit, and I had to do a lot of body work on the rear quarters to get them straight. I really need to look at what is out there for graphics, but for now I will probably just paint her black and the graphics can come later if I want them.

I posted some pics in my gallery of what the car looks like now, I have her all put back together and will be painting this week. Check it out.

You have made the car come sooooo far. I wouldent mess it up by putting graphics or racing stripes on it!!!! If anything sticker wise, I would just put a sticker or two on the side groundeffect in white or silver. But, It's not my car and I really do not have say in this, But... I would not ruin it by putting huge designs all over your car, Even if it is just a straight line! :(

dont put anything on the car. just black would look pimp. ricers put shit on the sides. :thumb:

silver graphics would do well for a black car, and i mean the mirror silver kind
