Ive used Rennline universal kit, comes with a nice tow hook that screws into a mount which is bolted to my crash beam.
Ive been towed many times off track with out a issue, even with dragging the brake to keep tension in the tow line.
I feel ya brother, its life changing to say the least. Takes lots of pics because it goes quick, I know it doesnt seem like it right now but it will lol.NASA does weight to power ratio along with aero, tire width limits. At first it seems confusing but if you read the rules enough times it...
Congrats on the birth of your son! As a father of a 5 and 6 year old Im familiar with the feeling. You have a great and very detailed thread, thanks for sharing. Do you ever run TT with nasa ne?
I see, I overlooked the baffles. Well I guess most oem tanks have baffles of some sort so its probably something Holley has figured out. I might shoot them an email to see what they say.
Props to you, looks good. That sure takes alot of patience. Im learning to weld on my own and when ever i weld butt joints on thin tubing I have hard time keeping from blowing out the ends of the tubing. I would destroy that down pipe.
Yea in group 3 sat and sun. Im in a 01' 330i a picked up a month ago for cheap just for track duty, its not even registered. The Galant dropped a vavle last month at VIR so the 330 is just a back up car for now till I rebuild.See ya there
Ive had issues with my turbo bolts backing out also so I safety wired everything and didnt have any issues after five track days but blew the motor the last time out so after I took everything apart I found even though everthing was still wired up and no signs of leaks the bolts barely took any...
Im glad your back at it. That sure is alot to go through to get your car on track. Ill be arriving at VIR early friday afternoon, Ill stop by to say hi and lend a hand if needed. GLBryant
Yes, long time lurker here. I don't own a DSM but an 01 Galant with Evo drive train. Lots of knowledge on this forum and would like to thank everyone for it.Bryant
Good luck, I was hoping to see you run again this year but my trans had other plans so I had to cancel the NASA weekend.
Will you be at Summit this year?
Yea we met briefly last summer at VIR. I was talking with Steve Walker and I believe you guys were paddocked together. I was telling him about my boost spike problem and borrowed a gap gauge from him. I drive a silver Galant.
Thanks for the info
