So I have no power to my CAS on my 1990 Laser RS. The car has no spark and doesn't run. All other ignition parts (coils, igniter, wires, and plugs) check out fine. I have also checked the MPI relay and it works as it should. How do I go about testing the ECU?Sorry if this is dumb but...
Yeah I am running into the same problem. Figured I would throw it up here and hope for someone much wiser than I to point something weird out or something
Starter plate, dowel pins, all bolts installed, and torqued correctly. Transmission is tight to the bell housing all the way around. Everything is as it was before I took the transmission out.
So I am at my wit's end here. I had a problem previously with my starter going bad. It chewed up my aluminum AWD flywheel pretty good when the bushing in the end of the starter failed. Long story short I bought a new flywheel, clutch kit (it was worn out), and replaced everything. So today...
If you are Into building a full drag car look into kelfords or gsc cams. They are top notch. You will be well into the single digits before you need to get some real custom stuff.Springs depend on how high you wanna rev the engine. I guess it depends on whether you are going to stroke it out...
If you can't get sprint to unlock it for you send me a PM. I can get it unlocked for you, but it will require some work on your end. You will have to play around and enable root access. I have done it on all my Android phones. It's not terribly difficult if you have some basic computer skills.
Do you mean the intake hose with the mass air flow sensor? If so that is relatively normal. As long as there isn't a lot of oil. Oil from the valve cover breather connects to the intake and it will introduce oil to your intake/turbo. This is why people put oil catch cans on their cars.You...
I'm not going to guess at the problem, but there is an issue. Your compression numbers are very low. Are you sure you did the test correctly? If you are sure a leakdown test will help you pinpoint the issue. Is your coolant low or disappearing? Is your overflow bottle filling up? White smoke...
The service limit for compression test numbers on a 2G turbo is 133 psi so yeah, not good. Three of your four cylinders fall below 133. A bone stock brand new motor should test out to 178 psi. The numbers will always increase with oil. Ring sealing could be an issue.Follow up your results with...
The only old 1G lifters you are going to find (what came in your car) are used ones. The part was revised, which is what you are finding when you search for one so you won't be able to buy a new one that is like the other 15 you have. I probably wouldn't mix them because I am anal, but I would...
Are they necessary....no. Do they provide extra cooling and lubrication for your pistons, rings and wrist pins....yes.If you still have them and are serious about road rally you might want to consider putting them back in.
