You should be fine. As long as you have Atleast one barb on the pump itself to bite into the hose you’ll be fine.You could try it and log fuel pressure if you’re currently not and see if it laying on the bottom of the tank has any negative impacts on fuel pressure.
When I installed my 535 pump (physically the same size as the 450) I cut two barbs off the pump itself and had to grind my bulk fitting barb by a millimeter or two to fit and clear from bottoming out.
You could also try a more longer process and drill tap and thread in a bolt long enough to grab with grips or something similar. Then proceed to pry it out with a flathead or small pry bar.Just thinking outside the box with something I’d do with limited tools and the urge to get it done now
