Ordered parts for my car from Mitsubishi dealership, and they still could get them! Nothing big, just the nut and bolt for the lower front damper fork. I somehow stripped the nut, and well, figured I'd get both since these were original parts on the car.
Back in the day you could get a slightly larger side mount from a supra which would be good for stock and also for an upgraded turbo...though those things seem rare and expensive these day....
My car(also a 95) is at 128k on the odo, though honestly, prior to my owning it, the milage showed as NAM from the DMV and actually showed upwards of 300+k miles. From looking at the numbers it honestly looked like it was a typo as the numbers went up 200k in one record of the car to the dmv. I...
Plugged in my ECU that had been sent out to ECMtuning for a checkup and repair. The car was giving me trouble and after testing everything it came down to the ECU gone loco and car no starting...
She started up the first time and sounded beautiful....
Update: Sent to ECMTuning and had them check it out. Their tests showed it was certainly misbehaving and were able to get the board repaired. There was def some cap leakage damage along with a crack in the connection to the maf-reset. Excited to get it back and plug it back in/get back on the road.
Yep, got the gplus marked ones. Should arrive this next week.Yep, those are the faily fail ones for me. Just going to change all the things since I'm in there...Yeah, in Cali. We get all the joys of the dry heat which has it's own set of issues...
I'll take a look at these. Might as well get a full kit, right....Any key things to look for? This is the info for one I'm looking at getting. though seems pretty cheap.... :/
hose kit
Thanks! I found my car leaking this weekend and when investigating, I found one good hose, one that was cracked and one that is squishy and about ready to fall apart....time to go through all of the other hoses and get them replaced if needed. :/
I need to replace hose 15 but I'm wondering if that same hose replaces #18 and #5. They appear to be the same size, though just from eyeballing it.
I haven't been able to identify the particular hose though other than it might be (MD112349).
The cap was leaking. I replaced it. The current one is not leaking. There was a lot of residue from the coating/flux mix.
I've done a bit of soldering though at the time I didn't have my full setup available. Some solder flux helped but the residue mixed with the coating wasn't cleaned up.I...
The conformal coating as mentioned got a little gooey so it looked a bit bad(I didn't clean it up at the time) but I was able to remove it which cleaned it up a bit just a little bit ago.
The bottom side solder joint, I clipped the ends of the wire as they were initially extended at least 1cm...
It was sent to ECMtuning for socketing when I got it done...way back in 2007...I can get pics in a little bit and plug it back in to confirm the ground lines. I didn't see anything wrong on the first go round, nothing loose. No burn marks or scorch marks/spark marks. Did some continuity checks...
I'll pull the ECU today and check it out.Yeah, this is not sounding great, It's getting to the point where the CEL comes on, no ISC/IAC init and the CEL remains on (when I get the no start). There are no codes when I can get to the point where I can get DSMlink to connect.I get that the...
So I've had an on and off no start (turn the key and the car cranks but doesn't start). I thought it was my fuel pump as I could usually fiddle with the wires for the relay (did relay mod) and it wouldn't have an issue for a while.I recently had to replace my water pump as it was sounding like...
