try leaving it in reverse, might hold better. but its the compression of the engine that locks the transmission when its in gear. i got no park brake in my 2g dd but got other issues i need to fix before that.
i took it to economy cylinder head. im sure its fine but im no machinist. the head was fully built by previous owner but i sold the hks cams out of it. got it leveled, cleaned (glass beads) and hot tank i think, and new exhaust guides cause i was told they were worn on thrust side, pretty sure...

i have pretty much same setup on my 1ga awd but 18g turbo hks 272 evo 3 o2 housing ported of course, full 3" turbo back magnaflow, no cat. think it was from buschur racing a while ago. sounds nice. kinda lound but sounds good.
if u have misfire on a solid cylinder swap thinks to other cylinders and see if misfire moves.. sounds like its lean for sure. pull all the plugs and compare colors. make sure compression is good but if that was bad it would run rich and have a black plug. i would check for a dirty or bad...
