So putting in fresh stock coils would have had the same result. And without a CDI box, the stock coils will actually work better when you start upping the boost more.
If COP made that big of a difference, then your old plugs and wires were worn out or it's all placebo. The stock ignition system is actually better unless you add a CDI box.
