i'm running a starion intercooler w/ 2in inlet and 2.5 inch outlet on a 14b is my turbo outflowing my intercooler?? i would have to say its better than the SMIC but could be just cuz of the 2.5 upper ic piping. just wondering if anyone knew the flow of the starion. thanks

as to the flywheel thing it goes both ways... it'll either have more shock on the tranny or more shock to the engine depending on what your doing. i would think a heavier clutch would amplify the shocking effect as there is less slippage and more grabbing? as for the light flywheel my opinion...
make sure u take the head to a machine shop and get it checked!!! this is very important on our aluminum head, i've done a headgasket only to redo it 1k later so make sure u take it to a m. shop. felpro is good too!

i didn't order enough mandrel bends from jcwhitney so i ended up using 2.5 inch 90's for 2 connections and they work fine, i got them from a trucking store but thye are like 20 a piece. the problem w/ radiator hose opposed to steel or aluminum is that it flexes which is not the best thing to...
maybe look on the supra forums?? as there motor is more like yours as far as picking a turbo, thye have bigger motors but less compression so mayeb thye could give you a good idea? they seem to be real helpful over there at www.supraforums.com but i'm only on the MK2 part where there isn't much...
when i warped my head i musta doen a good job cuz he had to take 14/1000 off but i had no clearance issue's look in the haynes manual and it tells you minimium deck height for how much you can take off the head and if i remember correctly it was right around 30/1000 so i would def get another...
i put 400f and 500r and have also relocated batter to rear and removed prolly 50-60 pound from the front. the 500 rear seems to give it less understeer, the ride is a lil weird but no uncomfortable just a but bouncier in the rear, g-luck

if u had to change the tranny oil every couple weeks it would get lame real quick, but i suppose if i dropped 5k on a tranny i would change it that often if thats what was required, idk i was just wondering if they had tried it on any of the ones they were testing.

well its a little late to change now that i have it, 850 is an intresting number seems high but like u said a piece of pipe can flow too. way i saw it when i bought it was plenty of people have fast times on factory sidemounts, and the starion was in my price range of under 100
lol just...
hey i think i've met you, you come down to look at that dsm of mikes? i was the kid w/ the red supra. i have a maft and 550's the 14b i believe will definatly outrun the 450cc injectors. i figured the rail was a waste but just makin sure i guess, but damn thta thing looks nice.

well my mods are all in my profile so u can check them out but i just bought some 550's and figured while i was at it might as well get a new fuel rail that looked a little nicer. so i'm just wondering if i wasted money by buying the venom fuel rail or not it definatle has a bigger bore on the...
early injected systems relied on puddeling, lol. its not the best thing but it doesn't cause as much harm as it sounds. my 85 bmw has l-jettronic, which opens all 4 injectors at once but only provides 25% of the fuel needs of the motor, and although not the best system it works.
so what are...
