THANK YOU very much!!! That was what I was looking for, just some assurance that it would be fine to cut, if i had to resort to it. Luckily I pulled out some better vise grips and was able to finally BREAK that dang line apart.THANKS

alright....I just went and attacked the bottom fitting with the vise grips some more. It still didn't budge for sh!t. The fitting is even more f'ed up now though. Would it be ok to cut the line and put a piece of rubber fuel line in between there?

I was originally trying to do it from the bottom location. This is the 14mm which does come lose from the 19mm. The 14 is the one that is stripped. I used vise grips a couple times, but didn't seem to help any... may have made it worse. Its as if the threads rusted together. Been spraying...

You can't use a gator grip on it. The lines look like thisI already tried vise grips that only made things worse.

So....today I was going to install my fuel pump on my 2g. I purchased the car used from nebraska....so rust has always been a problem with this car. The fuel line was not too bad, but had some slight rust to it. I sprayed it down with PB blaster land let it sit over night and it seems like it...

Cause it was after midnight when I posted this. I work during the hours that the dealership is open, so I have to end up sending someone who doesn't know much about cars. Was just trying to see if I could get the right part #'s on here....since I know there are people out there with the tool...
