I'm sorry, I didn't watch all of them but I just took a picture of what I'm referring to. Any one of the 3 "blind splines" if you will, can simply be aligned by centering it on this ID dot.
Respectfully, I would like to add something that's possibly of help here- that 'dot' or id mark on the rear clutch drum spline area (very visible in your video) is for the purpose of installing the shaft in it's correct orientation. You would 'straddle' the dot with the blank spline areas that...
For a number of years I have been providing tech support to The DSM Community, mostly via phone calls to my shop. I'll assume that some of you reading this may have even had this conversation with me.Recently, I had posted this info on one of the ATDSM FB groups. I've also explained this...
It should absolutely shift hard- you are not controlling reducing pressure via the solenoid, it's at full pressure regardless of throttle opening the way it's set up now.
It's just totally inaccurate information. There is not a reverse band or a reverse servo in that transmission. There is, however, what is known as a 'kickdown band' but transmission builders typically would call it a 2-4 band. Why?Because it is on in 2nd and 4th, it has 0 to do with reverse...
Thanks guys. A spring kit should get at least 150psi in a healthy transmission.I think that it is of importance to note that line pressure is certainly only a part of the equation in getting any transmission to handle more power.Rewind to 1989 to my first "KM" transmission build in my mom's...
Just about ant trans in the world needs to turn by hand at the input shaft and turn (at least with pliers) in both directions at the output shaft (one direction typically should have more resistance than the other)-John
It does sound like a clogged filter.Filters do not clog unless the trans and/or converter are seriously coming apart. Changing the filter isn't even a band aid fix. You are dealing with the chicken, not the egg (or however you want to look at it).-John
