My first '99 GSX circa 2002 - Look at that ballin' DVD player. Ah how times have changed...except my taste in cars, subwoofers and 2G enclosure design =)My current '99 GSX - Subs have since been replaced with JL Audio 10W6s.Tom
My wife's '97 GST has been on Sportlines and AGXs for ~80,000 miles and those struts have been awful from day one. The car is soft and "wallowy" over big bumps on the firmest setting. I would never ever recommend them.
Thanks!I'm not a fan of Dual either, but at $17 each I had to give them a shot. My experience with audio has always been that good, clean power and plenty of it coupled with a properly designed enclosure is most of what makes for good bass output. Tuned to the best of my ability they...
Thank you. So who got you into DSMs? It's a sickness I've had for almost 10 years now. I am a part of the 4G63 for life crew at this point I think :) Glad to have you on board! Any pictures of your '99?Thanks! Yeah I have a bit of an obsession with them actually. Spent almost a year...
Hey guys,
Was away from the forums for a few years after selling my original '99 GSX that turned into an '05 EVO. Built the EVO for power after having sold a pretty showy GSX and made 599whp/465wtq on a stupidly slow-spooling T4 35R I was coerced into using before burning out on that driving...
Yep I figured out the problem a little while ago. I'll be having the perch rings that I used on the stock shocks machined out to fit over the Koni shocks. Apparently the shock body on a Koni is just BARELY bigger around. That should fix the problem. Using the perches that came with the Koni...
Just installed my Koni Yellows, 8041 1208 Sports, on the rear and set it back down. The rear of the car was at LEAST 3" higher than it was with stock shocks and coilovers. I had Maxspeed coilovers with stock shocks as my previous setup. I have them set on the lower of the two adjuster...
Really? I know your kit sticks out further than mine, that must be the difference. I only ever have problems getting my front over...the low blitz sides really don't hang down much further than stock...at least not the ones on my car. I contemplated air a while back, but I did some talking to...
And here's a DSMtuners member that did 20s with a 245/35/20 a while back. I remember the thread, and his gallery is on page 241...I've been here too long.http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=4758Tom
Did you mean navigate treacherous terrain? That's just how I talk, please forgive my good vocabulary ;) You're fine dropping with Pro-Kits and most likely you'll want to lower it more later. I'd invest in the Ground Controls just in case you change your mind, they're only a little bit more...
