Lol the "buy a sh!tbox, park it in a field, and insure it" trick works great, everyone in South Dakota does it, no wonder why everyone has 8 rusted out bombs in their yard... wait, those are hicks, nm :(
Well i dont have a dsm yet but a 94 GSX would cost me 340 bucks every 6 months, or 56 bucks a month, Im a 17 year old male who is on the Honors list (Getting A's gives me 15% off on insurance)+ 10% off for takeing drivers ed, I also don't have any tickets so that helps.
I think it is a lot about how much each turbo's flow, like a specific amount of CFM's. But I neither own a turbo car, nor a DSM so thats just what i think. Don't take it as fact.
Well where i live, an AWD dsm runs about 2000 to 5000 ($US) for a 1g. If you wanted to run higher boost you should do more supporting mods, rewire the fuel pump, intake, exhaust, get a pocket logger. Im sure someone else on here can answer this better since i dont even own a DSM yet.
Wow Thank you so much, that is exactly what I was wondering. I had a feeling that turning the boost down would allow me to use a lower octane. Because the compression is already low on the 2.0T but from what i have learned, a turbo adds compression, the more boost the higher compression, so...
fp super 60 in today for a '99 CAVALIER Z24
--------------------------------------------------Becareful with the 2.4, this tend to break at about 220hp, especially the tranny, the 4spd auto is actually stronger than the 5spd (or so people have said) so please only run about 6ish lbs of...
Ah i just thought of another question. What about using fuels with ethanol added. Here i can get 91 (I think) with 15% ethanol added for cheaper than 89. Would fuel with ethanol be ok in a 2.0T? According to some people I talk to only some cars can use it and according to my bio teacher anything...
thanks for the reply, so what about octane booster? If i used 89 and added octane would that be ok? I'm not to sure since it wouldnt be a good distribution of octane through out the fuel and it could get kind of expensive, pry would be better paying the extra 10 cents for 91 than a few bucks for...
well I live on a farm, so we have a few tanks of of different types of fuel. My dad just lets me fill up when im low since its cheaper (taxes and actual price wise) when we just use that. He usually gets a pretty good deal on gas and there are also taxes he doesnt have to pay on it for some...
alright thanks, the only reason im asking is because i can get free 89, so i was wondering if i could luck out when i finally get my dsm...darn, oh well, what about using octane booster?
