Definitely not using it, it’s just the “cool” old parts factor for me. I got a low mileage 1g that I was going to mod “period correct” since I have quite a bit of old school goodies…but some stuff is questionable lol
I should have known considering I also got dejon intercooler piping and intake pipe with all the parts. I had my suspicions but wasn’t sure if he made intake manifolds as wellI remember when he was around. I have always ran his products but wasn’t 100% sure on this intake manifold
It’s not necessarily an ACTUAL member on the site. It’s a usual hacker who probably hacks this type of forum and knows the ins and outs of this type of layout. He probably does this on the daily around the world. Hell he even tried deleting the BEWARE portion on the bottom of the classifieds...
Woah....Id personally steer clear of this WHOLE scenario unless you want to be in the hole a whole lot of money. Sentimental value or not, it seems this situation is the good ol easier said than done. Especially the plans you have in mind. Can it be done? Maybe...but theres a reason why it isnt...
How is your coolant temp sensor harness? Is it brittle and cracked at the sensor? If so that will cause a mess of headaches. Its also a cheap fix to replace that sensor as well.
The ideal flush fitment is 9in with a +35 offset ;)You'll have lots of poke. You wont be able to lower it much without it rubbing or running a stretched tires. You'll need to do lots of rolling and pulling of the fenders and rear quarters.
Add up all the money youve spent to build the bottom end. Now ask yourself if youre willing to risk all that money rolling the dice.....or find a block you dont have to question for a few hundred ;)
