I've never had a turbo this big so the late spool will take some getting used to, but once you are on boost it pulls insane. I know he kept it really safe with the stock rods and trans. The car drives awesome now though even just general...

Ok guys i want to thank for all your help and fast responses and i am officially closing this case. I rewired the fuel pump bypassing this stupid module. Now when i turn the key in ON position the fuel pump starts, car fires up working like a...

If you don't mind to cut the factory harness, maybe you should try to bypass the fuel pump relay module and see if it would happen again. There is a good write up by @DogWhistle...

there was no spyder in 1995 96 was the first year.the 97 manual should cover most things. there are some differences like the 96 had a different cam sensor but its wired the same and in 97 or 98 the trottlebody and TPS changed. i think the...

So the Black/Blue and the Black/white wires from the module go to the fuel pump. As mentioned the Red/Black wire to the MFI relay should have 12v on it all the time but I shouldn't be able to switch that 12v to the red wire on pin 1 of the MFI...

Which two pins have constant 12V?Pins 3 & 4 of the fuel pump relay and pin 4 of the MFI relay should only have 12v when the ignition switch is in the Start or normal run position. Pin 3 on the MFI relay should have constant 12v.

For what it's worth, "this guy" did some tuning on my car (highway pulls) when I lived out in CO. He's pretty handy when it comes to this platform. Don't know how many cars he's blown up but he seems to know what he's doing LOL

I really dislike those guys. Once you dig all the RTV off you'll typically find another mess of corrosion and hasty repairs.

When I gave Yusef my old ones, he said that the small hole HLA's reduce the oil flow in the head and help keep the pressure up. But I may have misunderstood.

Looks like the Spyder is slightly different but works much the same with the added complexity of the FP reply module and I assume some sort of PWM by the ECU to control the pump.

I'm not sure what year they changed the connector styles, but my '99 has different connectors than the ones Steve posted in post 7. Instead of having top and bottom locks, they have an integrated lock. The lock is the white portion on the...

Do you have an after market MAP sensor or are you talking about the MDP sensor on the intake manifold? If remember right 2G have the normal barometric pressure sensor in the MAF and a MDP sensor on the intake but no MAP sensor stock. If the...

What diagnosis did you perform before throwing an ECU at it?A couple mins with the wiring diagrams and a multimeter will tell you tons about what's going on, or not as it may be.
  • steve
No. Using that scenario, you should turn it to 1:00.12 hrs in a clock, 1/12th of a turn is 1 hr!You still need the same fraction of a circle to get to 30* whether your talking hours on a clock or degrees of crank rotation. 1/12 is the same...
