I used one off of a Jeep Cherokee 4.0 from the junkyard. Buy a temp sensor from the parts store and take it with you to the junkyard and try different connectors from different Chrysler products then return the sensor after you find one that works.

I would try just straight water on the heater core hoses. See if one is warmer than the other. First flush into the colder hose and out the warmer hose so if there is a blockage you don't push it further into the core.

With a converter on it you wont notice the oil being burned as much. When I had my other turbo on the car would use a quart every week and a half but I wouldn't see any smoke. Newer turbo on and no more using oil. Any oil in intake pipe or post turbo in the piping?
