I can confirm that this works, the adjustible delay on the turning part is built into the switch itself. The harness connection/pins on both switches is the exact same.Just find a wiper stalk with the turning delay feature and swap it out on your GS Spyder.(Then park your car indoors when...
unfortunately turbo ecu swap is not plug and play. Here is the writeup to convert existing 4g64 non turbo wiring:Thread 'Turbo ECU in a Spyder GS' https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/turbo-ecu-in-a-spyder-gs.424084/
One mod that you can start with that not a lot of people talk about is swapping in the turbo ECU only (without the turbo). I did this 1st before adding the turbo components and noticed a huge difference in throttle response and acceleration.I used the stock 450cc injectors with resistor box...
Condolences on your loss man, I've been there. motivation is key, hope this build brings you closer to what you're searching for.I used this link from back in the days, its technically not live anymore but if you use a site like 'wayback machine' (google it) you can view it/see prev versions...
@pauleyman your absolutely right lol it wasn't my 1st choice. I recently took it off to check my rad and surprised to say it was in good shape and my car usually runs 185-215F
i looked everywhere for a 'swivel neck thermostat housing' but i couldn't find one that fit out cars. ended up cutting a section off an extra upper rad hose off a 4g63 and lower rad hose off my 4g64 and connected them with a 90 degree pvc joint with hose clamps - its not pretty but been holding...
@trustedmaniac79 ahh yes thats the link, close to the beginning of that 'how to' #8 it says the 4g64 TB wont work (as @Tyeler18 mentioned) so they use the turbo TB. The electrical pics i sent were from the 97 manual so it may be different for that year (96/97).that being said, its a minor...
quickly looking at the service manual for the 97, the wiring for the iac looks different. it would be interesting to know if the tps signal is different as well. it may be wise to look over the rest of the diagrams and trace/compare where these connections end up
pretty sure the 4g64 iac will need to be rewired to work with the turbo ecu. i found this diagram searching google. looking forward to seeing how it all turns out/comes together
I recently installed a turbo ecu in my gs spyder and its actually feels and pulls stronger then it did before with the stock ecu, even without the turbo hooked up!how are you planning to wire the turbo ecu? if you just plug it into the existing 4g64 wiring harness im pretty sure it wont work...
