IMO ecmlink is way to go. Youll have to pay for it but best IMO. Also with ecmlink there are a lot of people out there to help you with tunning. They even have a guy on here that will remotely tune it for you.

if this is the case try so sea foam, ive seen it work miracles with build ups.

dont know what to tell ya bout starting but if your oil smells like gas change it. You were probably pressing gas pass rings because of not starting. ive done this before myself.
