Just updating my progress. Lol. Started little slow after I pulled the engine figuring out what to do. Got donor car for engine trans and other parts which turned out to be a waste except for clean strut tower mounts. Engine wasn’t what it was suppose to be missing all kinds of stuff ugh...

I’d say you really should cut the rust out so it don’t continue to spread and take the whole side out. Tack weld in some new metal behind it and use duraglass filler in to smooth it out. Undercoat it and call it a day. Probably cheapest way. Put side back on and good to go. Just my opinion...

Thank you guys very much. Didn’t think it looked oem at all. Those wires was never crimped. Like the connectors was used as a cap. Who knows. I’m sure I’ll find other stuff more I rip things apart. Lol. Thanks again.
