So 2 days ago i was pulling out of my subdivision and got to about 20mph when i heard a small bump. Suddenly i had no power. I pulled off onto a side street and threw it in park. Thats when i heard grinding. Also park doesn't engage. I assume the tranny is shot but is there another possibility?
So. Might as well start this up.
Day 1.
I just bought the car and start driving it home. All of the sudden i hear a screeching noise and my oil pressure drops. "Oh shit". I immediately pull over into a burger king parking lot. Keep in mind this is when i was 16. Didn't know jack about car's ect...

So a while ago my cv axel snapped off at the cup going into the transmission. I read a few things and one of them told me to remove the 4 bolts that connect to what looks like a plate on the passenger side of the tranny. My main question is. Do i re attach these bolts before putting the new axel...
Fair enough. But this one has bucket loads of rust and rusty bolts. I even had to cut the base off of the front fenders (Seen later) because they where rotted away. I'm currently in the process of replacing my axles so that's been fun (Passenger Cv axel snapped)

So Starting off, My Dad found a Eclipse down in Cocoa (Yes Florida). It was about an hour drive but i convinced him to load up with me and my Grandpa to go check it out.
