    Rebuilding Body

Don't buy aftermarket body parts unless they're oem replacement. There is a reason you see very few dsms with body kits on them. For one the factory body kit is perfect. And two fiberglass parts are junk . They require a lot of time to make fit and then alot if time to make them paint worthy ...

AEM Tru-boost MAP sensor used for ECU and gauge?

I'm thinking about doing this also. I am running a tru boost controller and I'm also running speed density. So your saying that I can use the 5 bar map sensor to my ecu and tap the signal wire to ecu with the input wire to the gauge and not cause any issues? Saving me from spending another...

    Turbo Coolant Hose Replacement

A cheap quick fix o suggest is that you use a line flaring tool and flare both metal ends and then connect the two using the appropriate size heater hose and clamps

    Which throttle body gaskets?

If you have anything using the pea for a vacuum source the rtv will cause problems because it will likely find itself clogging the ports once you tighten down the bolts

    Setting timing question

I personally get the timing belt pretty damn tight by prying up carefully on the hydraulic tensioner body and using the correct tool to rotate the idler pulley to remove all slack in the belt. So the plunger should barely move when the pin is pulled leaving room for belt stretching

extending ignition coil plug need advice

^^^^^ What he said . I would also recommend using marine grade heat shrink tubing to insulate your soldered wires instead of electrical tape way better and cleaner

Bad rod bearing few questions for new the build

First off as far as recommendations for your build I would highly suggest manley turbo tuff rods and crank. Unless your a straight baller then do some grp aluminum rods and a winberg crank. For some super high-quality high rpm revs. On another note with link run it on speed density and...

Can Broken CV Axle Cause No Reverse Issue?

With all the stuff I have broken over the years I have personally never experienced this one. I would say that it's highly highly unlikely that's a broken cv axle would be the cause for no reverse. Did it make any usual noises while attempting to use reverse . Or nothing at all?

    Buying belts, 6 bolt swap

You said that the car is a 2g but your asking about a 1g belt? I take it that your 6 bolt swapped that's why your asking. But when you 6 bolt swap a 2g you run the 2g pulleys because 1g's use a v belt on the power steering instead of the ribbed style on the 2g s . So if that answers your...

Car Has Power but won't turn over.

I got your pm. Trace the single 14 gauge signal wire coming off the starter it's black in color. Follow it back through the harness and you will find the junction harness. Its hard to give you an exact location of the plug because it sits in the middle of the harness next to the head above the...

diy dsmlink gm maft cable ? can this be done?

Honestly if you're familiar with wiring , I recommend just hard wiring in the gm maf pigtail to your factory harness . And if your really concerned about being able to reverse this modification then just loom the wires in the harness and leave enough wire off the 2g maf connector so your able to...

Car Has Power but won't turn over.

You might have accidentally unplugged the starter signal wire at its junction in the harness or off the connector on the solenoid. Check this first before you start to get into more complicated scenarios
