clockwise is fine. Dont let it go backwards. Thats how you jump time. Edit: Pulley looks fine. When the rubber starts to separate you need to replace.

where did you go to test the alt? Autozone? Go to an actual alt/starter rebuilder. They can test it and know how to test it.

    About to buy a 97 2g-questions

you can't really say it's to much. Some areas it's harder to find these cars. In mass where im from a car with that many miles would probably go for 1200, down here in Mississippi where I am now it would go for 3000.

    2G My "new" broke GS-T

have someone scan the car to see what the code is. Do a boost leak test. Get ready to do timing belt, probably not timing but needs to be done.

    2G 2G falling apart...

did you buy it from a private party or a dealership? Most states the lemon law only apply to cars bought at a dealership. And even then when you sign a bill of sale that says as-is or no warranty you usually give up that right.

I don't think Dsm's have problems. I though all cars do if they're not takin care of. It doesn't matter what it is, if you beat on it and never do maintenance it's gonna have issues.

So after a lot of thinking I traded my gst. I didn't want to but the eclipse just wasn't practical as a daily driver with two kids. I do plan on getting another someday money permitting. I think I made out pretty good though. Even swap for a 98 jetta vr6. Let me know what you think
