High Beams on '92 Galant GSX burning fuse and relays

Hi, having some trouble with wiring on my '92 Galant, I thought I had it right this time, but today the relay stopped working, I swapped it for another one and it worked... for about 10 minutes, the 10 Amp fuse for the light is melted (but working somehow) so I'm assuming that the wiring is...

Getting the right struts for a '92 Galant FWD

Hello,I'm looking to buy the front struts for my '92 Galant, according to the manual the lengths are 19.17 in, 13.39 in, and 5.79 in as seen in Figure 1. There's a KYB 235032 that has those same exact lengths (Figure 2), and a KYB 334030 (Figure 3) that has slightly different values and a...

    1G Potential Stuck Open Injector

Can't post the 4th video for some reason, maybe I was spamming too much, sorry for that.

    1G Potential Stuck Open Injector

I would think so too, but unfortunately the misfire came back today, so I haven't solved the problem. After a few days, I started to feel that there was a rough idle (rougher than usual, the car is far from being in perfect shape), so I assumed the misfire was back and started checking the...

    1G Potential Stuck Open Injector

I think you were right with this as I explained in a previous comment, hope the problem is fixed. Thanks!

    1G Potential Stuck Open Injector

Don't really know how to check that, but I think my issue was spark at the end in any case.

    1G Potential Stuck Open Injector

No idea about where the pintle caps are or how they fell off, might have been missing for 20 years to be honest, I've had the car for about 3 years so I'm still finding new things about it, I know they should be replaced now.Have not done a compresion and leakdown test of the cylinders, don't...

1G 92 Galant Air Conditioning sensor hunt

Ok, I should be good on those connections then, it does increase the idle when the A/C is on so that shouldn't be the problem. I'll keep looking into the idling issue and probably make a separate post for it. Thanks a lot!

    1G Diagnosing a non-working IAC Valve in a 92' Galant

You're right about the position, the ISC seems to be working well so far, it does start up at pretty high RPMs (between 2000-2500), not sure if that's normal, even with the BISS all the way in, which is something I'll have to adjust soon enough. Is there an adjustment process for it, or just to...

    1G Potential Stuck Open Injector

Thanks for that, the sheet, insulator and O-ring were all replaced when servicing them, but 2 of the injectors don't have this black element that I'm circling in red, it's just bare metal. I'm guessing that's also important, is it replaceable?Interestingly enough, the misfire came back and...

1G 92 Galant Air Conditioning sensor hunt

A/C seems to be working well enough now that it's charged and all that, the engine does seem to be idling too low when I have it on though; at about 700 RPMs with noticeable vibration unless I put it on Neutral or Park (The ISC is working fine, so that itself should not be the problem), does...

1G 92 Galant Air Conditioning sensor hunt

I think pretty much all of the wiring is as it should now, the condenser fan starts when I "turn on" the A/C (the compressor has no belt so it doesn't rotate), the compressor clutch seems to be receiving power and clicking, and I have the Air Inlet Sensor, Air-thermo Sensor, and Air conditioning...

    1G Diagnosing a non-working IAC Valve in a 92' Galant

Hello, coming back to this post after a good while.I'm about to go pick up a "new" to me ECU, it was sold to me by what seems to be a trustworthy mechanic, he has a good reputation and the pictures looked very good, nothing looked leaking or burnt like it did on mine. But I still want to make...
