I hate to bring this back from the dad, but to the OP, did you have the tq converter in the tranny before mounting it to the block? Or did you have the tq converter bolted to the flex plate then tried bolting the tranny to it?Only reason im asking is because im running into a possible scenario...

Yeah, if its bad enough to mess with the idle, it probably moved enough to take out the crank sensor.Lets not scare him too much though, haha.

Do you have any check engine lights on? Im trying to eliminate the possibility of crank walk causing the car to die at idle, because like mentioned already, a bad clutch would not have anything to do with that.

thats why i suggested the solid hub street disc. No springs to break, and no lock out in higher RPMS.I can no lift shift from a launch, my 2600 with solid hub disc, on a stock 92 transmission, no grinds or hang ups at all shifting at 7800.
