so am i missing something here? i purchased a pair of 2 piston calipers from someone on another website and went to put them on and the brackets are way off. I read on the vfaq that one year 95 had banjo bolts instead of the screw in brake lines but i didnt read anything about the bolt holes in...
well thanks for your suggestions. It isnt really important. I have a logger that tells me my rpms. so i really dont need my tach i just thought i would ask. Thanks for all the answers.
yeah the needle just drops. its only when i really get on it where the rpms would be over 4k. so if it is a wiring issue where under the hood does the tach reference its rpms?
Okay i am not really a newbie but i couldnt find where to post this so here goes. I have a 90 NT automatic talon and when i nail the throttle to pass people or go up a hill my tach drops to zero. I tried to look it up on alldata but they do not have any info on what actually controls the tach so...
i was thinking about mounts i know they are weak. and since you dont have to push the button from D to N i think it may do it when i gun the throttle.. if the mounts are weak it can move the trans far enough to move the selector. Thanks for the advice.
well i really dont think that is the problem because it only does it on hard acceleration and it actually moves the lever itself. i can then move the lever back into drive and everything is fine. and it only does it when i stomp on the gas. i can also move the lever without pressing the button...
Okay so i have an auto tranny and if i get on it like to merge onto the highway sometimes it kicks my selector out of drive . is there a way to fix this problem or should i just look into a new type of selector.
well seeing as how rain runs downward i would venture to say you are getting water from somewhere besides the bottom of your car. i would guess firewall or it could be running down the pilars of the car and running behind pannels. the best way to find these leaks besides using dye is to have a...
well i dont think that driving at a constant speed (65mph) should make the ocnverter lock and unlock over and over and continue at any speed. the only time it is not doing it is when i am not on the gas.
so if anyone is having the same problem as me i found out it was my torque converter lockup solenoid. There is a plug at your transmission that has 4 wires going to it in a square plug. The red wire controls the solenoid that tries to lock the torque converter. well mine was locking and...
I am having a trans problem and i asked the trans guy at my work about it and he said that it sounds like my torque converter is locking and unlocking back and forth. What it does is when i am cruising after about 10 minutes my car will fluctuate rpms about 300 up and down. that is only if i...
okay my last problem that i am trying to figure out here. I have a 90 N/T automatic talon. My problem is that when i am cruising on the highway (i have a 45 minute drive to work) going about 65 , after about 10 minutes of driving my RPMs start fluctuating. it just consistently goes up down up...
