Yeah it makes no sense to me how it would seem to run better with the gap but I'm not expecting anything tomorrow morning. I guess we'll see.It could be electrical. The coil pack was brand new when I bought the car, pretty sure it was changed before they listed it, maybe its going bad again lol
I seem to have found part of the issue. Pulled my plugs and gapped them tighter and it seems to be running better. The real test will be a cold start below freezing tomorrow morning.And yes it definitely needs rebuilt, she eats up oil pretty quick, just hoping I can somehow make it through...

Gotcha, I remember reading that somewhere but this is my 3rd alternator on the car since the original got soaked in ps fluid and the second one got hot and melted 🫤.It does seem to do something since I've driven it probably 30 miles without charging the battery and it hasn't died or gone below...

Did exactly as you said and it hasn't puffed any smoke yet. Haven't driven alot so hopefully it stays that way lol.Any explanation as to why that would have caused all the smoke?
I will in the next few days and update with what I find. Seems odd I'm still having this issue with freshly machined surfaces and mls head gasket with arp studs.Does that mean this isn't a turbo issue since my turbo only has oil lines, no coolant?
